How does Opera Mobile Store handle vendor royalty transfers?

Developers receive 70% royalties and Opera Mobile Store takes a 30% share from Net Sales on Android, Blackberry and Symbian, after transaction costs and taxes are deducted. On the Java platform the ratio is 50/50.

How and when do I get paid?

We can send you a check (free), Paypal transfer (free), or wired transfer (bank charges US$45 for this). We make payments at the beginning of every month for the previous month period when your account reaches US$200 dollars or more.

Publishing apps with IAPs and advertisements

We accept apps with already existing in-app payments. No revenue share is required from our side for such apps. You also do not need to make any changes in your SDK.

Are any changes in APK required for publishing on OMS?

No, you do not need to make any changes to your APK.

Does publishing on OMS violate with Google Play rules?

There is nothing in Google Play’s terms that prohibit an app developer to distribute their app *both* through the Google Play Store and OMS. There are details about using Google APIs for apps distributed through Google Play that might require that the version of the app for Google Play can not be 100% identical to the version that is distributed through OMS.

Are there any limitations on Opera Mobile Store regarding in-app purchases?

No, Opera Mobile Store is not involved with any in-app billing service that you may use. Note that Google requires that developers use Google Play’s in-app billing service for in-app purchases for apps distributed through Google Play, section on “Paid and Free Apps” - link.

Yes, you can and we encourage you to do so. Developers can promote their apps with our self-service pay-per-download-program via https://publishers.apps.opera.com/ or contact an Opera Mobile Store representative to help you via at apps-support@opera.com.

You are also free to reference the web page or URL your app is on in any social networking posts, emails, newsletters, app reviews, or on your web site.
